About Sixteenth Notes Music
Why Music?
Music shapes our lives in many ways. Studies have shown not only does music shift our perspectives, it cultivates our understanding of culture through learning about music from different worlds and creates community through social interactions. Music also serves as a tool that encourages focus, improves retention rates, enhances problem solving skills and instills discipline and commitment.
Our Approach
Our teachers cater towards our students’ goals. Though we are founded on the idea of a traditional approach, we incorporate modern ways of having our students enjoy their musical training. Our goal is that our students receive a well rounded education. We apply a variety of concepts that include music theory, sight and ear training, technique, repertoire and ensemble opportunities. Most importantly, we strive to provide a fun and encouraging environment, where students feel engaged, motivated and accomplished through every lesson.
